Neighborhood Update - July 2020
Posted on Jul 14th

We would like to reach out with a few housekeeping items and announcements:

1. The Neighborhood Garage Sale will take place on September 11th and 12th!
  • As a reminder, out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19, the spring garage sale was canceled.
  • The covenants allow for individual homeowners to have a garage sale.  You must submit a request to the HOA in advance of the garage sale through the website Contact Us page.  This request should include the dates you wish to hold the sale.  Be sure to submit your request at least 3 days in advance to give the board sufficient time to respond.
2. We have received concerns about the storage of trash, recycling, and compost bins throughout the week. Please ensure that all trash, compost, and recycling bins are out of sight from the road by the end of the day, the day after pick up.
  • This means trash and recycling bins need to be out of sight from the road by the end of the day, each Wednesday, and compost bins must be out of sight from the road by Friday evening,
  • For reference, this follows Article 6, Section 16 of the Withesfield Covenants: Trash, garbage, and other waste shall be kept in sanitary containers and housed or screened so as to be out of sight.
  • Failing to maintain this is a violation of the covenants and enforcement procedures will be followed by the HOA, as outlined in Article 7 Section 1.
3. There has been some concern about trees and shrubs hanging low and blocking the sidewalks.  Since the start of COVID-19, there are more people walking and more kids using the sidewalks. As a courtesy please take a look and make sure your foliage is not a hazard.

4. Along the same lines as the trees and shrubs, we would like to remind everyone that the sidewalks are the homeowner’s responsibility.  There are a few places where the sidewalk has buckled and is causing a severe trip hazard.  Please make the necessary repairs.

5. We have had new inquiries about solar panels.  The covenants and restrictions do not mention solar panels.  You will, however, need to submit for review and approval before installation.

We appreciate your support in keeping our community safe and beautiful.
